About
I graduated from college as an art major in ceramics and have worked in many art media including ceramics, watercolor and stained glass. For the past 25 years I have found the deepest expression of my creativity in glass fusing. For me, the rich texture of ceramics, the fluid motion of watercolor, and dynamic hues of stained glass, are all present in the design and issue of fused glass.
Fusing glass is about constant negotiation. The final piece is the result of harmony between the glass and the artist. This medium can be unpredictable; glass is fragile yet there is strength and flexibility. As both artist and technician, I find this exciting, sometimes frustrating, but always a delightful challenge.
My studio is located in Lake Oswego, Oregon where I have developed a varied portfolio of work ranging from wall pieces, table top pieces, plates, and tiles to Braille pieces. Each piece is custom made and is unique in style and intention.
